FAQ #: 1
Error 4600-End of File; Error 1000-End of File

Error messages that begin with 46xx or 10xx are software errors. This means that the program you are using has tried to read beyond the beginning or end of a file, or that the file is empty. Typically, the Answers programs check for this.

One exception might be in the case of printing. Users can receive an error on a file name of PRINTNB or PRINTRAW with a number of 46xx. If you are attempting to print and receive this error, it can be an indication that the printer you want to use is not valid. This might happen if you have recently installed a new printer or moved an existing printer to a different location. Answers remembers the last printer you used and the printer information. If that printer has changed (it's been moved or re-installed) then Answers is trying to find the printer using it's old settings. You need to use the "Other Printers" button in the print window to select the correct printer.

If you receive this error message, please contact Data Resources Corporation, using the Software Problem Report found on our support website, with the Answers program you were using and the exact error message, including the name of the file displayed in the error message.
