FAQ #: 102
I accidentally entered some invoices with a wrong date and did not find out until they had already been posted to A/R. How can I change them so they will show on the customer's statement correctly.

Since the date is stored as part of the "key" or "index" to the invoice record, you can not actually change the date. You will instead need to use Cash Posting to "write-off" these invoices or enter credits for them and then use Cash Posting to apply the credits against the invoices with the incorrect date. Then re-enter the invoices with the correct date. If you have the Order Processing module on-line, then it is suggested that you issue credits using the Returns program since entering invoices twice without a credit will "double up" the amounts to be posted to Sales Analysis. If you are still using Manual Invoicing, then either method will work fine, since Sales Analysis and General Ledger is not normally a concern yet.
