Will XDBC work on 64-bit machines?

XDBC will work on 64-bit machines, but it will still run as a 32-bit application. Complete instructions for installing XDBC are available on our website in the Manuals and Documentation Downloads section. Keep the following in mind when installing XDBC on a 64-bit machine:

When running the XDBC installation (step 1), right-click on the setup.exe and choose "Run As Administrator", instead of double-clicking on the setup.exe file.

In step 15, when accessing the Data Source Administrator, 64-bit machines have two Data Source Administrators. They have one for 64-bit drivers, which is the default and the one that comes up from the Control Panel. Instead, you need to go to the c:\windows\SysWOW64 folder (using My Computer) and locate the odbcad32.exe, which is the 32-bit Data Source Administrator. You can put an icon on your desktop for this program if desired. Since XDBC is a 32-bit driver, you have to use the 32-bit Data Source Administrator to configure it.
