FAQ #: 129
I made some manual journal entries to may Cash Account, but they are not showing up in the "Review G/L Entries" option and my Bank Reconciliation is off by that amount.

What source code did you use when making the manual journal entries? Answers puts a source code on all entries it makes automatically and when entering manual journal entries, a source code is also required.

The source code tells the Bank Reconciliation where to display an amount. Amounts from OPR (Invoice Register), (ARC) Cash Posting, (ARM) Miscellaneous Cash Posting will automatically be considered as deposit entries. These same source codes, but with the "C-CARD" reference are considered credit cards, and anything else shows up in the "Review G/L Entries". If you used one of the pre-defined source codes, the journal entry may not show up as desired.

You can reverse your journal entry, using the same source code and date. Then, you can enter the journal entry again, using a manual, un-defined source code.
