When I select a different printer in Answers, the default printer in Windows 10 changes to that printer.

This issue is not an related only to Answers, it is actually a Windows 10 issue. This is a "feature" of Windows 10 that is enabled by default. When enabled, the last printer you used becomes the new default printer in Windows 10.

To enable/disable this feature, click on the windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen. Then, click on Settings. Then click on Devices. Scroll down and you will see an option for "Let Windows manage my default printer". Slide this to Off to disable.
