FAQ #: 17
When I print Financial Statements, figures are in the wrong columns or there are no figures at all.
1. The wrong period/year combination was chosen. Financial statements can be printed for open or closed fiscal years. "Current Year" is the period currently being shown on the "Monthly Amounts" tab of General Ledger Account Inquiry. If you have not yet closed this fiscal year because you are waiting on year-end adjustment entries, you can still print financials for this year and any periods of the new fiscal year that have not been closed yet.
You can also print financial statements for prior year closed periods. However, you must have the entries from the requested period in the General Ledger Journal Entry History. If you have purged your journal entry history, you will not be able to include prior closed years.
Be sure to select the correct fiscal month/year combination.
2. The system keeps track of the last fiscal year that you closed. It needs this to determine what fiscal year the "current year" column on the general ledger master file represents. If figures are in the wrong column and you are selecting the correct period off the list, then you may want to check the last fiscal year closed. You can do this by clicking on the "calendar" icon in the Financial Statement Management program.
