FAQ #: 41
I changed a customer to service chargeable, and ran the Detail Aging Report by Customer Number, but it did not calculate any service charges.

The service chargeable flag is set on the customer master file. Then, the flag is defaulted onto each order that is entered for the customer. When the Detail Aging Report runs, it first checks the customer to see if the customer is applicable for service charges. Then, it checks each order to see if that order is service chargeable. So, if a customer used to be set to non-service chargeable, then all of their orders are most likely set to "No" for service charges as well. If you change the customer master file setting, this will affect all new orders, but will not change any orders already entered.

You can change the customers orders manually using a character based maintenance program. This program will run on Windows machines, but in a character mode. The program name is CCAROIM. This program will allow you to cycle through the invoices currently on the open item file and change the service charge flag. You can also manually change the flag on any current open orders that can be brought up in Order Maintenance. There is a program that can be used to change all of the open items for all customers automatically. This program name is CCSVCFIX. Keep in mind that this program changes the flag on all invoices for all customers. Any orders that are still open in Order Entry will have to be changed manually.
