How do I manually run the nightly registers?

1. Verify that all users are off of the system.

2. On the server, in Answers, go to System Management > Answers Software Maintenance > Batch Processing Scheduler.

3. Click on "Disable".

4. Click on "Enable". Change the time and the AM/PM setting to a time that is just a couple of minutes ahead of the current system time. You can see the current system time in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

5. If you wish to have the server reboot first, check the box to make it reboot, otherwise you can uncheck this box.

6. Running the register manually performs the same process as the actual end of day, so if you backup to a tape drive, please be sure to have a tape in the drive.

6. After the process is finished, remember to change the settings back for the normal nightly processing.
