FAQ #: 65
The Stock Receipts Journal prompted to me to print Pick Tickets for back orders. I printed them, but I had several other orders that printed out that were not back orders. Why did these print?

The Print Pick Tickets program has several options that will allow you to select the pick tickets to be printed. The most commonly used options are to "Print All Orders" and to "Print All Orders in a Warehouse". Any time the program is run with one of these options, it will print all orders that have been created with a "Print Pick Ticket" status of "yes" and have not yet had a pick ticket printed. This means that if other users have entered orders and not printed a pick ticket for them, and you run the Print Pick Tickets program, you will print pick tickets for their orders, as well as pick tickets for your back order releases. The program does not distinguish orders that are were created by Order Entry from back orders created by the Stock Receipts Journal. It simply prints all orders that have not yet had a pick ticket printed. There is a configuration option under Inventory, Standard Options that will allow Stock Receipts to create a file of the order numbers that it updates or creates (back order releases) and regardless of the selection on the print screen (print all orders, etc) it will only print the orders specifically listed by Stock Receipts. To print any other sales orders with tickets needing printed, you would still need to run the Print Pick Tickets option from the menu, or print them manually through Order Entry.
