What does the Manual Cost Change Audit do?
When cost is changed manually through Inventory Maintenance, entries are made in the inventory transaction history. The Manual Cost Change Audit picks up these changes and prints them on the audit, calculating the variance between the old and new cost. Optionally, the report will allow the user to update General Ledger with the cost variance, if desired. Once the general ledger has been updated, the report will continue to pick up the items on the audit, but not include them in the journal entry to be created. This will keep manual cost changes from being updated to G/L more than one time, but allow the journal to be run multiple times as an audit if desired.
