Email/Fax/Preview/Save Invoices Immediately After Invoicing

One of the most popular voted suggestions last year was for the ability to be able to email, fax, preview or save a copy of an invoice in the same day as it was invoiced as opposed to having to wait until it updates at night and shows up in the Invoice History tab of Customer Inquiry.

It is also important to note that this is not necessarily related to customers that you may have configured to receive their invoices automatically via fax or email at the time they are invoiced.  However, you could use this feature to send another copy to a customer or a different contact if needed even if the invoice had been previously sent automatically.

To use this feature bring up the customer in Customer Inquiry and go to the Open Orders tab. Click on the desired order that has been recently invoiced to high-light it. Then click on the [View Orders] button.  If this order has been invoiced but has not yet been updated by the Invoice Registers (that usually run at night), you will be provided a [Send Invoice] button.  Click this button to get a choice of emailing, faxing, pre-viewing, or saving a copy of the invoice.  Of course you are allowed to enter a recipient, CC recipient, and attachments like found in many other areas of Answers.

The Open Order Detail Search window also allows viewing the order in more detail and will also show this [Send Invoice] button on invoiced orders.
