Ability to Block Customer Invoices Excluded from Statements from Email

A new Accounts Receivable configuration option allows preventing users from intentionally or accidentally emailing or faxing customers copies of invoices or credit memos that have been flagged to be "Excluded from Statements" which means they were entered mainly for internal uses or corrections

A feature added several years ago allows Sales Orders and Returns to be marked up front during entry that they are to be excluded from statements.  Invoices and Credits can also be marked to be excluded from statements once posted into A/R in the Account Analysis tab or window in Customer Inquiry and Cash Posting.

Only when an invoice is marked to be excluded will this new configuration option apply.  The default is the same as before meaning that even invoices marked to be excluded can be emailed or faxed if desired.  But this new configuration option when set accordingly can prevent them from being emailed or faxed accidentally.  Even if they are prevented from being emailed or faxed, they can still be re-printed or previewed for internal purposes.

This also applies when selecting multiple invoices for action by checking the box in the first column.  If any invoice in the list has been excluded from statements and this configuration option is enabled to prevent, then the list of checked invoices cannot be emailed or faxed until the excluded invoice(s) are unchecked to remove them from the list.

This configuration option can be set in Answers Configuration-->Accounts Receivable tab-->Standard option # 31.
