Tip of the Month for: April 2026

Searching for P/O Items ordered for Customers

A new search option is available when looking at Purchase Orders including Open P/O's, Received P/O's, and P/O History that can help you locate items ordered for a specific customer.  These tabs and windows are available in programs such as Vendor Inquiry, P/O Entry, RFQ Entry, Order Entry, Stock Receipts, etc.

This new search can be started similar to the other searches available by clicking on the [Search] button across the bottom and then selecting the option to search by customer.  You can either enter the customer # if it is known or if it is not, a customer search option is available to help you find the customer.

The search once initiated will find the first item in the list that matches the requested customer.  From there you can click on the arrow buttons to find other items for the same customer.

You can also enter or find the desired customer and then click on the [Search All] button at the bottom of the tab or window to get a consolidated list of all items that can be found with this tab or window that were ordered for the selected customer.

Note that depending on what type of P/O's you are searching in (open, received, history), if you do not find what you are looking for in the current tab or window, you may want to try the searching for the same customer in another tab or window for a different status of P/O depending on how old the P/O you are searching for goes back.
