Automatically include CC recipients on Emails

As many of you may already know Answers can be setup to automatically email customers that have requested and agreed to receive selected forms (Invoices, Statements, and Order Acknowledgements).  All of these can be enabled and the desired primary recipient selected on the Setup Options tab of Customer Maintenance along with being able to choose email or fax provided you have these options configured and working in your system.  And of course you can choose which of these forms you want setup for automatic emailing or faxaing along with the recipient for each as they do not have all to be enabled or disabled nor do they all have to go to the same primary recipient.

Customer Inquiry (if the window is enlarged enough) will show you when any of these 3 forms are enabled along with the primary recipient of each one at the bottom of the Contacts frame on the General Tab.  This was a new feature in the 2019 release of Answers.

However, you can also designate additional customer contacts as CC recipients.  This is done  by first insuring you have enabled automatic emailing for the desired form(s) as described above.  Then use the Additional Contacts window to find or add the recipient that you also want to get a copy of any of these 3 desired forms.  Insure their Email address is entered and valid and that Email is set as their "Contact Preference". Then simply check the "CC Contact" box corresponding to which form(s) this contact wants to receive a copy of.  The ability to have Invoices and Statements go to CC recipients has existed for some time and the 2019 release of Answers added the ability to setup a contact as an automatic CC on Order Acknowledgements.

Coming in the fall 2020 release of  Answers 6.0, also added is the ability to designate a vendor contact as a CC recipient on Remittance Advices for vendors that are setup to be paid via ACH and that are setup to receive Remittance Advices automatically via email or fax similar to the features described above for customers.
