Service Charge Maintenance

In Accounts Receivable, you have the ability to create Service Charges for past due accounts through the Detail Aging by Customer report.   In the past, you were not able to change or delete individual service charges prior to running the Service Charge Register.

In Answers 4.3, the Service Charge Maintenance program was added and can be found under Accounts Receivable -> End of Period -> Service Charge Maintenance.   This program will be available for use after the Detail Aging by Customer (with Service Charge flag selected) has been run, but prior to the Service Charge Register has been processed.

After getting into this maintenance program, you can then delete any Service Charge records or you can actually change the amount on the Service Charge  (however, it will not allow you to edit the Invoice # or the Invoice Date).  After you edit these entries, you can run the register to get them updated to the Customers' accounts.
