Quickly View Available and Potential B/O Quantities on a Quote
An new toolbar button option is now available in Quote Entry to allowing viewing the available and potential back order quantities of lines items on a quote, without having to convert the quote into an order (and then possibly having to cancel it) just to find out. This option can be handy if a customer ask what all you have available but they are not yet ready to place the order.
This
option can be accessed using the new toolbar icon
or under the "Inventory" pull-down menu bar. This
window will then list out all items on the quote, the
quantity quoted, the current quantity available, and the
quantity that would be expected to be back ordered if the
quote was converted into an order assuming that inventory
quantities on these items do not change due to other
transactions such as receipts, other sales, or transfers.
The contents of this window can also be printed.
Please note that quotes do not
commit inventory like sales orders and warehouse transfers
do, so the program can only show what is available and what
would be back ordered if the quote was converted into an
order right now.
