Adding Multiple Stock Numbers from Inventory Search
Answers 9.0 released in 2023 added the ability to allow users to select multiple stock numbers at once in the Inventory Search window to copy into key programs such as Order Entry and Purchase Order Entry. This can be done by placing a check-mark in the first column to select any items you wish to have copied back into the transaction on which you are entering.
The selected items have been importing in stock number sequence (and can still be if desired). However version 9.1 released this fall allows each user to choose if they wish to continue having their selected items inserted in stock number sequence or in the sequence in which they checked/selected them. This latter option gives the user more control over which sequence the items appear on the quote, sales order, sales return, warehouse transfer, or purchase order.
To change the sequence of how items are returned back to the calling program, click on "Options-->Add Multiple Items in Order of" from the pull-down menu bar in the Inventory Search window. Your choice will be remembered as a User Preference as you exit the search window and re-defaulted back the next time you use it, but can be changed back and forth as desired. The default will still be in sequence of Stock Number until changed for consistency with past behavior. anytime.
