Order Entry Pricing Scratch Pad Line Scrolling Feature

The Order Entry Pricing Scratch Pad now has 2 new “next” arrow buttons added to make it convenient to save or exit and then move onto the next existing line item while keeping the scratch pad window open.  These new next arrow buttons should make it much more convenient to scroll thru multiple lines of an order reviewing prices, costs, discounts, and any margins.

You will now notice a small green arrow Green Arrow Small to the right of the [Accept Price] button at the bottom of the window.  Clicking this arrow will accept any price, cost, discount, margin, etc., save the item, and then move onto the next line item in the grid and display its pricing/costing information in the Pricing Scratch Pad.  Note that if you prefer to use the keyboard instead of the mouse, pressing <Shift>+<F4> in the window is the same as clicking on the green arrow to the right of [Accept Price], similar to how pressing <Enter> is the same as the [Accept Price] button.

You will also notice a small blue arrow  to the right of the [Exit] button at the bottom of the window.  Clicking this button will ignore any changes made while in this window, exit the item, and then move onto the next line item in the grid and display it in the Pricing Scratch Pad.  Likewise pressing <Shift>+<F5> is the same as clicking on the blue arrow to the right of the [Exit] button, similar to how pressing <Esc> is the same as the [Exit] button.

Note that these new “next” arrow buttons are only available when viewing/editing existing line items (not on new items usually being added).  Therefore, they also are not available when adding a new item and you have your preferences or configuration set to show the Pricing Scratch Pad automatically on new items being added and/or if a previous sale of the same item is found for this customer.

Also note that you use the “Review Gross Margin for Each Line” button  on the Totals tab to the right of the Total GM % box as an easy way to review all line items.
