Email/Fax Payroll Direct Deposit Pay Stubs

A new feature added in Answers 4.2 was to add the ability to email and fax payroll direct deposit pay stubs to your employees during or after a check run has been completed.  In order to set an employee up to use the fax/email portion of this feature, you must access their information in Payroll -> File Maintenance -> Employee File Maintenance -> Pay tab -> Direct Deposit button.

Once the employee is set up using Direct Deposit, you can also select what type of stub you want to give to them.  You have the choice of printing (default), faxing, or emailing.   Faxing/Emailing option will ask you for their fax/email address.

The direct deposit pay stubs will be printed/faxed/emailed out during the Check Printing/Re-printing portion of the check run.

One other new feature with Answers 4.2 is the ability to re-print/re-send a direct deposit stub or even to re-print a check stub.  The re-printing of a check stub will not print on an actual check.  It will take the information and lay it out in the same format as the direct deposit stub.   You can access this by going into Payroll -> Inquiry -> Employee Inquiry -> Check History Tab -> Click on the Check/DD Stub in question -> Click the View Check button -> Click the Print Stub button.   This will also ask you if you want to "auto-send" or fax/email the stub to the employee.
