Additional Reference # Field in Stock Receipts and A/P Invoice Entry

Stock Receipts now allows for the entry of a new Reference # field.  This new field is available on the top line along with the P/O #, Release #, Vendor #, Name, and Authorization fields.  Its purpose is to allow for entering a Packing Slip, vendor order number, or similar type reference number during the receiving process that will hopefully make it easier to match up incoming vendor invoices against the proper receipt.  If you do not see this new field  by default, try enlarging/widening your Stock Receipts Entry window, if you have room.

This new Reference # field will also print on the Stock Receipts Journal and be updated into Receipts History where it will also print on the Uninvoiced Receipts Report

But just as important, it will display (again room permitting based on your window size) and be searchable in the Receipts History Search window that is accessible from A/P Invoice Entry to assist users in matching up invoices to the proper P/O # and Release #(s).  It will appear in this window in a new column to the far right assuming your monitor, screen resolution, and window size allow it to show.

So if you think this would be helpful to A/P operators, encourage receiving personnel to enlarge their Stock Receipts Entry window if possible to allow access to this new field and to begin utilizing it.  A/P operators may also need to enlarge their Receipts History window if they want this new column to be visible at all times.  When possible the program will try to detect if room is sufficient on these screens to enlarge your windows and adjust them accordingly.

This new Reference # field is also available in the Bar Code Receiving program.
