Tip of the Month for: March 2016
Additional Searches Available in Order Entry and Purchase Order Entry
The last release of Answers added several new searches and copying abilities to the Order Entry Detail tab in addition to the many already available to assist in copying items from other transactions into the current transaction. These new searches include the ability to copy:
Warehouse Transfers into Orders, Returns, Quotes and other Transfers
Purchase Orders into Orders, Returns, Quotes and Transfers
Purchase Order History into Orders, Returns, Quotes and Transfers
The Purchase Order Entry Detail tab also gained several new searches similar to Order Entry. These include the ability to search and copy:
Sales Orders into Purchase Orders
Sales Returns into Purchase Orders
Quotes into Purchase Orders
Warehouse Transfers into Purchase Orders
Vendor RFQ's (Request for Quotes) into Purchase Orders
All of these searches are available from the Searches pull-down menu bar across the top of the window or by right-clicking in the Stock # column on a new line on the detail tab.
Also, they all allow copying the entire transaction into the current transaction, only a single line into the current transaction, or selected lines into the current transaction. To copy in just certain lines, place a check-mark in the very first column on the lines that you want copied in and then click the appropriate copy button at the bottom of the search window.
