Nonstock Item Inquiry

As a reminder we want to make sure users are aware of the availability of the Nonstock Item Inquiry program as we have spoken with several that were not aware it existed. Also for those that may not have used it recently, it was enhanced in the last release to allow for even more thorough searching of new areas.

This program is accessible from the menu under Inventory Management-->Inquiry or from within the normal Inventory Inquiry program under the File pull-down menu bar.

In the last release this program was enhanced to allow searching Inventory Transaction History for other types of activity such as Adjustments, Warehouse Transfer History, Stock Receipts, and Job Material Usage.  This is all in addition to it searching Customer Invoice History like previously available.  It can also search for items that were setup in Inventory at one time but are no longer due to be deleted or discontinued and purged after selling out.  The ability to find these also depends on if history was also deleted if they were deleted manually (usually not recommended) or history has been purged for dates that would have purged items you are looking for.

Similar to the Transaction History tab in Inventory Inquiry for normal items, you can click on a transaction and view it in more detail such as an Open Order, Quote, Invoice, Purchase Order, Transfer, etc.  This even includes the option to view any notes and/or attached documents or images associated with that transaction.

Note that depending on how active this item was, this could lead to increased search times since the program is now looking thru more areas for the item.  But also note that under the [Search Options] button at the bottom of the window, you can control what all areas are searched as well as being able to limit how far back in time your search goes and/or the maximum number of results to be returned.
