Accessing Attached Documents and Images through a Windows Explorer style window
When accessing the attached images and documents icon that is available in many programs throughout Answers such as Customers, Vendors, Inventory Items, Quotes, Orders, etc. there is now a new binoculars icon available (as of last fall's release) that will open up a Windows Explorer style window which takes you to the folder on the server where all of the files attached to this particular item are stored.
The advantage of bringing up a familiar Explorer style window is that from here you can very easily copy/cut/paste/drag/drop files into and out of this folder. So for example, you could copy and paste a file from another location/folder right into this window using normal windows keyboard shortcuts or mouse clicks/right-clicks. You could also drag and drop items from another location/folder or even an email right into this folder. Then when done, the files you have placed into or taken out of this folder will be updated onto the item from which you accessed this window.
In the preceding search window, you can enter in the search text, customer number, date range, and whether you want to search quotes and/or orders for this information. The search text is used to compare a number of different fields including: Ship To Address/Phone, Sold To Address/Phone, Reference #, Customer P/O #, Bill of Lading (not including Tracking #'s), and other fields from the Quote/Order Entry Header fields.
After the search is through, you will be presented with a choice of any matching quotes and/or orders to select from. Once the selection is made, Customer Inquiry will take you to that exact quote or order for that particular customer.
