Ship-To Address Searches

With the last release of Answers released in September 2017, users can now search on Ship-To Addresses that have been used on past sales orders, invoices, and quotes in multiple programs.

Customer Inquiry Invoice History tab/search windows will now allow searching for invoices based on address information that was entered into the ship-to address field on the order prior to invoicing.  A new choice has been added after clicking on the Search button that will allow searching for any matching text that has been entered on any of the Ship-To address lines of prior invoices.

Order/Quote Entry will now allow searching for a previously entered ship-to address that you would like to use on a Sales Order, Return, or Quote.  When you click on the binoculars button to search for a ship-to address, you should also see new buttons across the bottom of the search window for searching Invoices, Open Orders, and Quotes in addition to the standard alternate ship-to addresses setup for that customer.  If you know the invoice, order or quote on which the desired ship-to address was used, you can simply click on it to high-light it and then use the Select button to copy that same ship-to address into the current transaction.  And note that when combined with the above feature which also works in Invoice History Search windows, when searching thru prior invoices, you can use the Search button to search for any text found on any of the Ship-To lines to locate the desired invoice.

Purchase Order Entry will now allow searching for a previously entered ship-to address that you would like to use on a Purchase Order.  You will have the same 3 new options of searching for a ship-to address on Invoices, Open Orders, and Quotes in addition to the standard alternate ship-to addresses setup for the selected customer.  This could be especially helpful when entering a P/O that is shipping factory direct.

Vendor RFQ (Request for Quote) Entry will now allow searching for a previously entered ship-to address that you would like to use on the RFQ.  You will have the same 3 new options of searching for a ship-to address on Invoices, Open Orders, and Quotes in addition to the standard alternate ship-to addresses setup for the selected customer.  This could be especially helpful when entering an RFQ that is shipping factory direct.
