Tip of the Month for: November  2018

Inventory Inquiry is now Resizable and with more Information Available

The new release of Answers allows resizing Inventory Inquiry thus allowing it to be maximized or stretched horizontally to be wider or vertically to be taller.  In addition some new information has been added along with some new graphs provided you enlarge the window enough and have permission to view them.  This includes things such as the following broken down by tab:

Quantities & Pricing tab:  (1) The ability to view quantities in all warehouses in which this item is setup below existing info. (2) The ability to view Costs along with Prices if allowed and if enabled under the "View" options as you may not want this enabled if your screen is visible to customers.  (3) New graphs for current stock levels compared to Order Point, Average On-Hand Quantities over the past 24 months, and Sales and Gross Margin history trend over the past 10 years.

Purchasing Controls tab:  Ability to view many Year-to-Date figures, key dates, and Lead Times without having to pop-up additional windows to see this information.

Units History tab:  (1) Ability to view 24 months of units history not only on Usage (Sales), but also on Customer Returns, Receipts, Warehouse Transfers Out, and Warehouse Transfers In.  You can easily review the detailed transaction history for any month by double-clicking on that month and column or using the button to the right.  (2) Many Year-to-Date figures and key dates without having to pop-up additional windows to see this information. (3) New Usage Graph for the past 24 months showing both the current warehouse and all warehouses.

Transaction History tab:  (1) All transactions will now show all columns of data without having to use the Options button to toggle between selected columns.  If all columns cannot be shown due to the size of the window, a horizontal scroll bar will be available to easily access them.  (2) A Running Balance is always shown now unless disabled to increase loading speed.  (3) Color coded transactions to match Units History tab.  (4) Ability to view details on any transactions including any attachments or images on quantity Adjustments (new in this release also) by double-clicking or using the [View] button.

Purchase Orders tab:  (1) Ability to see all columns of data now provided the window is made large enough without having to toggle between various columns using the optional buttons at the bottom of the window.  (2)  Ability to see more P/O's vertically as the window is made taller.

Other tabs:  (Holds, Committed Orders, Back Orders, Quotes, Scheduled Shipments, Serial Numbers, Quantity Detail/Purchasing Contracts).  These tabs still show all relevant information as before but will allow more entries to be shown vertically as the window height is increased.
