Customer Price Inquiry and Customizing the Inventory Inquiry Toolbar

• Inventory Inquiry can be used to quickly and easily check customer prices.
   
• Instead of starting a quote or a sales order to check a customer's price for a specific item, the user can click on Query from the menu bar in Inventory Inquiry and Customer Price Inquiry.  They can enter the customer number and see the customer's price (which takes into consideration any price exceptions and contracts) as well as the customer's part number.

If the customer wishes to go ahead and place or order, or requests a quote, the user can enter the quantity desired and click on Quote or Order to have the appropriate ticket created.  They will then be taken to Order Entry where they can enter header information, as well as add additional items to the quote or sales order.

• If desired, users can customize their Inventory Inquiry toolbar so that they will have an icon for the Customer Price Inquiry option.  The toolbar only has room for a certain number of icons, so users can choose to remove the icons for features they don't use and replace them with others.

To customize the toolbar, click on File, then Configure Toolbar.  You will see 8 possible icons to be included on the toolbar.  You must choose six of these icons.  After selecting six, select whether the changes should apply to you only (default), or to all users.  The All Users option is handy if you don't use kits for example, you can exclude those for all users and not have to configure each user toolbar individually.  The changes will take effect immediately for your user, other users can log out of Inventory Inquiry and log back in to get the updated toolbar.

All features are still available and accessible from the drop-down menu bar.
