Tip of the Month for: September 2014

Answers Version 4.5 to be Released on September 5th, 2014

  The next release of Answers is almost here!  Customers will be able to down-load Answers 4.5 beginning this month.  The newest version of Answers contains over 60 new features.  Just a few of the high-lighted new capabilities are listed below.

• Ability to setup, track, and convert prospective customers from within Answers.

• Ability to send text message notifications from certain functions in Answers.

• Ability to change the Stock Number on line items on the Detail tab in Order Entry.

• Ability to add a kit within another kit and have the components of the sub-kit exploded into the main kit.  In addition kits placed on sales orders can now contain up to 260 components (up from the previous maximum of 60).

• Serial Numbers, UPC codes, and Order Reference fields have all been expanded to 40 characters.

• Increased size of sales and purchasing discount %’s on customers, price exceptions, inventory, orders, quotes, and P/O’s to allow for up to 3 decimal positions (i.e. 99.999%).

• Easier searching and tracking of Scheduled Shipments.

• A new Search All option has been added to Open Purchase Orders and Purchase Order History to allow for faster searching.

• A new Inventory Master Export to Excel has been added.

• Invoices can now be edited, if needed, during Automated Check Writing as well as the ability to take or not take a discount in Selected and Automated Check Writing regardless of the defaulted suggestion.

• Ability to distribute an invoice for freight only to the cost of items or sales orders from one or more P/O’s and Releases.

• Ability to resize the Answers Report Viewer screen to take advantage of larger and higher resolution monitors when viewing reports.

• Instant Messages sent and read within Answers are now archived for later retrieval and re-reading.

• G/L Account Number change/merge program has been added similar to those found on customers, vendors, and inventory.
