Answers 4.7 Key Features
The next release of Answers is almost here! Customers
will be able to down-load Answers 4.7 beginning this month.
The newest version of Answers contains over 60 new features
of which 49 were a direct result of enhancement suggestions
voted on by our users last fall. Just a few of the
high-lighted new capabilities are listed below.
- Improvements to record locks with additional files being tracked, additional programs with tracking enabled, as well as a suggested list of users when an exact holder of a record lock cannot be determined.
- Ability to convert an order or return into a quote just like you can convert an order into a quote.
- Description wrap feature in Order Entry and P/O Entry to make it easier to type in longer descriptions and have them wrap into comments.
- Easier way to change
entire orders from or to Factory Direct
versus your warehouse.
The Ship-From Warehouse can now be changed on existing sales orders, returns, and quotes even after entering line items. - New Menu search and Menu map options to assist users in finding where programs are located.
- Resizable and/or larger windows available in Customer Inquiry, Cash Posting, Stock Receipts Entry, Customer Search, Ship-To search, Vendor Search, Receipts History search, Open Order/Quote/Transfer Search, and Invoice History Search.
- A multi-line editing
feature is now available in P/O Entry
similar to Order Entry.
Spell checking added to Instant Messaging and Emails. - Emails sent from within Answers archived as attachments to the associated transaction or record.
- New printing features including a built-in window/tab print/capture feature to make it easier to print screen shots right from within Answers, easy way to print multiple copies and switch between portrait and landscape mode.
- New date entry field codes to ease in entering many common dates such as today, yesterday, first of the month or year, last of the month or year, etc.
- Alternate keys for searching for customers and vendors to assist with changes in company names, buy-outs, mergers, etc.
- Additional quantities are now shown in the inventory search window as well as the ability to see quantities in other warehouses.

Improved contacts with new information, ability to switch primary and alternates on customers and vendors, and a new export program.
