Stock Receipts Sorting and Search Enhancements

Stock Receipts has 3 new sort options in addition to the 3 that were available previously.  New sort options are by Vendor Part Number, Cross Reference Number, and Description.  Previous options were by Entry Line Number, Printed Line Number, and Stock Number.  These can be accessed under the View pull-down menu bar across the top of the window or by clicking on the column heading of the desired columns on which sorting is allowed.  A small black arrow will appear to indicate the column you chose for sorting.  Clicking on the same column heading again will reverse the sort from Ascending to Descending order.  Your sort option will be remembered and re-defaulted as you exit and re-enter the program.

In addition a new Find/Search feature allows searching certain columns in the list of items for a possible match.  This can be an exact or partial match on a number or description.  To use this new search function, simply start typing in the "Find" bxo below the list of items.  As you type, the program will highlight the first match found (if any) in yellow.  As you continue to type, the program will continue refining the search and may adjust the highlighted item if a better match is found.  If a match is found, you can use the green arrow to the right of the search text box or press the <F1> key on the keybaord to find the next matching line if more exist.  Columns searched are Line Number, Stock Number, Vendor Part Number, Cross Reference Number, and Description.

Important Note:  In order to take advantage of these new features, you must be (1) up-to-date on Answers current cycle updates or at a minimum up-to-date thru 03/25/25 and (2) you must also be running Runtime version 10.3.0 or higher.  Your Runtime version can be checked by clicking on Help-->Client info from the pull-down menu bar across the top of the main Answers Menu.  Answers updates can be downloaded by clicking on Software Downloads. If you are running a Runtime prior to 10.3.0, you can email Data Resources with your current Runtime version and Serial Number (also shown in the Client Info window) to request a free upgrade from MicroFocus (the developers of this software).  These new features will not be available and/or will not fully function correctly if both of these requirements are not in place.
